The renovation of TOTO‘s Showroom in Clerkenwell marks the next chapter in the brand's history in London. The showroom, originally realised by MACH in 2010, has been entirely rebuilt and extended with an adjacent annex, accessible through a small courtyard. The aim was to redefine the showroom – not only as a place to view products, but as a space where visitors can truly understand and experience TOTO, its brand values and technology.

Located on St John Street in the heart of London's leading design district, the renovated showroom brings together Japanese craftsmanship, sustainable materials and advanced bathroom technology. The design concept is guided by the theme of «Craft & Technology», characterised by openness, Japanese design principles and a dialogue with the local context of Clerkenwell. The basement houses a flexible exhibition and event space, as well as experience rooms where products can be tested in real life. The annex takes on the role of a global showroom and dedicated workplace for TOTO’s team.

Local and sustainable materials define the overall character: ceramics by SOLUS Ceramics, a neighbour in Clerkenwell, and Sugi timber from Japan. The newly designed staircase, which is visible from the street, adds an inviting vertical dimension to the showroom.
